Using an expedition format in my arts practice, I conduct extensive research, performance surveys, and artist-led fieldwork in locations across the UK and Europe, and in the USA. These activities generate collections of fieldwork documents, works, and publications.
I am a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) where I coordinate ongoing workshop activities as part of the Society’s annual Explore: expedition and fieldwork planning event, held at the RGS-IBG headquarters in London, UK. 2016 marked the 40th anniversary of Explore, and my 10th year of being involved – more details of the event can be found on the Geography Outdoors area of the RGS-IBG website.
Through my previous involvement in the outdoor industries, I have also made many journeys in England, Wales, France, Switzerland, Spain, Mallorca, Italy and Morocco, and the Arctic Circle in Finland and Sweden – all of these trips with their associated items of outdoor equipment can be found on my experimental website Kit List Correspondent.
